PARTICIPANT ACCIDENT  PLANS

K-12 STUDENT
ACCIDENT

At Wellfleet we can build a blanket student accident insurance plan for each school’s unique curriculum to help protect all students and their families from unexpected medical costs due to an unforeseen accident.

The school can choose to automatically cover all students during any scheduled and sponsored activities including sports and field trips or limit coverage to specific events and activities.

There are two accident plans available Basic and Catastrophic.

Basic Accident Coverage

Basic accident coverage limits available from $5,000 to $100,000 and there are Primary or Full Excess options to choose.  The Full Excess option pays benefits for eligible expenses that are in excess of benefits paid to the insured by any other health care plan.  If no other health care plan exists, benefits will be payable like primary coverage.

Emergency Sickness Plan

Emergency Sickness benefits can also be added to your plan design for overnight activities i.e. camps, field trips, athletic events, etc.  The sickness coverage would be only for eligible expenses resulting directly from a participant’s emergency illness.

Catastrophic Accident Plan

Catastrophic Accident Plans are usually included for athletic activities during supervised practice, training and plan.  Eligible medical expense that exceed a deductible of $25,000 to $50,000 and insure up to $1,000,000 to $10,000,000.  Benefit periods up to 10 years.  Benefits include Accidental Death & Dismemberment and Catastrophe Cash in lump sum payments to the family when a covered accident results in Paralysis, Coma or Brain Death.
